From the 1980s to 2008 Are Mercedes Benz Still as Reliable?

An article on the difference between the new and old. Lets rewind back to the 1980s where Michael Jackson, Abba and Wham ruled the charts. The great Mercedes baby was introduced to the nation, critics and the public alike were ecstatic with the car, it absolutely revolutionised the way that vehicles were perceived. Now lets flash forward to the current year 2008 Mercedes is still around but the ultimate question is are they still reliable like they used to be, a few facts to consider when making this decision follows.

Well let me just tell a little story about how the Mercedes cars used to be, I used to own myself a Mercedes 190D on an F plate, so around 1989. This car, believe me is the single most reliable car that I have owned to date, it was like I was drying a tank and not in a bad way. I say this because I knew that this car would never get stuck on the road or leave me stranded, there was no need for me to go out and buy breakdown cover because I knew that too put it simply I would never break down. The car was also a luxury to drive, I don’t know what it was about the 190D but it just felt so cosy.

Now lets look at one of the current cars that Mercedes have made, the A class was slated by all the critics as being the worst mistake in history, that the company have ever made. I actually also owned one of these myself, so this is why I specifically chose this one to mention.

Well when I first purchased this car and took it for a drive I was quite pleased, it was very comfortable and the best thing was it was half manual and half automatic, meaning I still had to change the gears but there was no clutch pedal, so you just change the gears by moving the stick. I used the car for a few weeks and then the inevitable started to happen it broke down. I took it to the garage got it repaired and I thought that was that. A few weeks later it broke again and again and again.

I was in dismay I paid thousands for the car and was forking out more and more to get the car repaired, keeping in mind that Mercedes part prices cost a fortune. Well I had to get rid of the car it was not cost effective for me too keep it. How I miss my 1989 Mercedes.

So the conclusion here is no the old Mercedes are much more reliable and much more efficient. In the 1980s cars were built to last. Now it is all about the economy companies are clever they do not build cars to last because of the fact they want you to upgrade when a newer version comes out or your car brakes. All in all I will just probably stick to car leasing this way you don’t have to worry about upgrades.

So Why Are Banks Giving Away Free Gasoline?

The soaring fuel prices have triggered a massive surge in free gasoline promotions by banks and credit card providers that are way too good to pass up. Major Banks and credit card companies are now using free gasoline to entice us to use their products or services. They are offering free gasoline if you’ll just walk through their door in a number of instances.

Most of us are wasting time looking for cheap gasoline stations instead of looking for free gasoline source . . . Which is a giant error. What you should do is instead of shopping for gas stations that may sell gasoline at a penny less than the competition, you want to point yourself in a broader direction.

Free gasoline can most often be found at your bank. . . The big billion dollar companies that are seeing less and less money being deposited in their vaults, and if you didn’t know, banks can’t make money without your money.

The next time you are looking a gift horse in the mouth, don’t just smile, but kiss it! Today I’m discussing about the great deals being offered by many banks and/or credit card issuers.

Most people have a learned distrust when it comes to dealing with and using credit cards because we know there is almost always fine print. However, in this gas chomping times there is no need for fine print; banks are simply offering you free gasoline if you use their cards because they are as desperate to increase the money in their vaults the same as we are getting more and more desperate to save on our gasoline costs.

If a bank offers you a 10 % to 20% rebate this is free gasoline and free gasoline is all ways better than cheap gasoline. Understand what a 10% to 20% reduction in your fuel cost can do for you. It can be significant savings that should not be ignored.

Let’s presuppose you are paying around $100 per week on gasoline like many of us are doing right now. If you used one of the banks rebate cards that pay you up to 20% back on all of your gasoline purchases you would be saving a solid $20 per week. Add that up for or over the course of a year and that total would increase to over a thousand dollars, that’s $1,000 per year in free gasoline.

These types of savings can save your yearly vacations. They can keep you afloat from as your other expenses increase along with the rest of inflation. Free gasoline is different that cheap gasoline. Cheap gasoline’s effects are not very apparent, but as you are seeing $20 checks being mailed to your home or being deposited in your account that is something that is measurable.

Some little known banking rules even allow you and your family to get a $1,000 per month, and sometimes you can get even more in free gasoline. Become more informed and be empowered by the wisdom you’ve learned from your past to know what not to do now and in the future.

Should You Convert Your Car To A Hydrogen On Demand Vehicle?

Gas prices are going through the roof, and the fuel economy question is getting get very serious. Gas prices near me, in Los Angeles, are now pushing or over $4 per gallon for regular unleaded, OUCH. Gas Prices may soar to between $7 and $10 a Gallon. Get ready for another economic shock of major proportions. A virtual doubling of prices at the gas pump to as much as $10 a gallon. By the time that we cash our pay checks, we pretty much start calculating how much we will be spending on gas. We are pretty much just working for taxes, bills and gas.

So then it is a no brainer to convert your car to run on water or HHO gas. Doing so can save you over from 25% to 100% in fuel costs. Less than one gallon of water provides over 1800 gallons of HHO gas, which can literally last for months and significantly increase your vehicle’s fuel efficiently, improve emissions, and save you money. It has already helped me save tremendously on fuel costs. And it only requires you to make a 5-minute maintenance check every week to make sure that everything is working correctly. Not only will you save money; you will reduce your carbon footprint to help the planet.

Interestingly, converting your car to run on water was one of the most searched for terms last year. Converting cars to burn water is not new. While running your car on water 100% of the time is very complex, converting your car into a water hybrid is really quite easy. The simplicity comes from its being an “on-demand” system requiring no fancy storage or plumbing. The system allows you to burn gas more efficiently. It also decreases the noise and wear and tear of the engine.

The system is composed of simple parts that you can purchase over the counter at the local hardware store, and that are easy to mount to the engine. The HHO Electrolyzer uses the process of electrolysis to convert water into a hydrogen/oxygen gas, which is then introduced into the intake of the internal combustion engine. It is completely untraceable when taken off of the engine. Also, this hybrid system does not require you to make any direct modification to your cars engine itself.

Kits designed to convert a car to run on water have made the conversion process a whole lot simpler. Most of the parts can be bought at your local hardware store, automotive store, or off the Internet. The easiest way to convert your car to run on water is to use a pre-made kit. There are more and more people in the marketplace that makes and sells these systems. As for me I made my own systems. I have a lot of experience in these areas so this is just plain fun for me. If you want to find someone who sells the pre-made system you will have to hunt them down, they are out there.

There have been many skeptics that do not believe in the efficiency of the system, but doubts soon vanish after seeing the system in operation. I am getting people wanting me to install this system on their car after they see my car. I guess that a V8 getting 29.88 mpg is pretty good. Also what I found is that when you go to actually buy the parts you come in contact with many success stories of people already using the system and saving money on gas. This thing is going viral.

I hope that this article has proven useful to you so that you can convert your car to run on Water.

Want your car or truck to run better, longer while using a cheap source of fuel? If so, then building your own water into hydrogen system is definitely for you.

Hydrogen Fuel is moderately easy to create when you have good clear instructions. Water into fuel or Hydrogen is quickly being looked at as the cheap fuel of the future. The concept of building your own water into hydrogen converter as a source of alternative fuel for your car or truck has becoming quite popular.

The fact that energy can be pulled out of plain water is unbelievable until you see the process work with your very own eyes. Many car and truck owners report a 35-50% gas mileage increase using this free fuel source.

There are many real-life videos the show the proof that Hydrogen can be taken from water and used as a powerful, but cheap fuel source and it can be done safely. The videos have really caught people’s attention, mainly because of rising fossil fuel costs and the fear of no end in site to the ever increasing gasoline prices.

The bottom line is that a record number of consumers want to save money on their gasoline costs. The record number of searches posted on Google for the Water 4 Gasoline” manuals shows that many people want to learn more about the hydrogen alternative the “Water For Fuel” system offers.

This increase in the technology is also likely due to the fact that the system is so easy to build. Of course we must also include how much more fuel efficient your car or truck becomes with the “Water 4 Fuel” system installed has to play a major part as well.

Basically, the water for fuel technology is a small system of rubber hoses plugged into a device that converts water directly into hydrogen gas that is then sucked into the fuel system by the tubes or hoses. These fuel cells produce supplemental, clean, cheap fuel and without pollution.

You don’t need much to turn your car into a water using hybrid – Just know how. The process involves submerging the electrodes, which is a fancy name for a particular type of coiled wire, into a glass, or heat resistant container of water, attaching that to a battery clip and charging the electrodes with the battery.

This causes the water around the electrodes to split into hydrogen and oxygen (electrolysis). At this point you’ve created a very cheap source of fuel that you can be used to supplement your gasoline costs.

OK, to have the system installed on your car or truck is slightly more involved, but not complicated at all. For the price of a good how to manual you can build your own water converter in under an hour. The plans and the few parts can cost you as little as $60-$100. The parts you need are commonly found in an auto parts store, hardware store. A very fined tuned system may need a part or two from your local Radio Shack.

Of course, those of us who are not mechanically inclined can lean on a good mechanic to install the parts for us on our car or truck and still get cheap fuel all the same. If you really want a hands off experience you can simply buy the system already assembled and simply plug in the hoses as described by the manual you use.

Although creating hydrogen fuel to turn your car or truck into a water drinking hybrid can be done safely because of the fact the Hydrogen is only extracted from the water in the exact amounts as your car’s engine needs.

This is much better than driving around with tanks filled with combustible Hydrogen, which could be dangerous. Though safe to build and use, it is still imperative that you get the best information available to build your own converter the right way. There are plenty of How-To Manuals available to get the job done right.

Michael Littles is a big supporter of the continued development of Hydrogen as a fuel source and provides a free video for all those who want to learn more about this technology in order to save 35% to 50% on your fuel costs. Get your free video by visiting: http://www.H2O-n2fuel.com

Choosing The Best Motorcycle Tires

16 Jun.
Posted by goldenopt1 in Motorcycles | Comments Off

The primary part of any given vehicle is its tires, without which it is rendered unusable. They are subject to depreciation, and their durability is related to the manner of your maintenance. Before delving into the technical aspects of tires of motorcycles, lets try to understand the manner in which you can ascertain which tires suit you best.

The authorized dealer where you bought your motorcycle should be the best guide when you need recommendations about the tires you should use. Even the repair guys would give sound suggestions, and since both the parties have no personal interest in misleading you, their advice can be relied upon.

Apart from these guys, information can also be found in tire guides, journals, and the official website of the maker of the bike and on public forums. These will only help you subscribe to the information that you might have previously gained from any source.

A simple way to determine a good brand of tires is checking the brand that motorcycle competitors use in various competitions. If a brand you find is very common in use, you might want to have additional information on that given brand before trying out others.

Also, taking cues from the user manuals of your bike is greatly helpful. You won’t exactly jump with joy if you buy some tires that do not suit the kind of bike you possess, and thus making a mess of your motorcycle ride and overall performance is something that won’t excite you.

You must ensure that you grade the tires based on performance ability, their grip on the motorcycle, endurance, mileage, capacity to manage load, etc.

Obviously, the price is of importance as well. But don’t buy cheap tires in haste. There are vast options to finance the tires which help reduce the immediate burden on your bank balance.

Under the assumption that you’ve made a good choice in tire selection and are content with it, lets now check out how to enhance their durability.

Even the best motorcycle tires, or tires of any vehicle, always have to endure dust, muddy roads, dragging, corrosions, etc. So it becomes very important to maintain their level to the optimum and derive the most you can get out of them. Given below are some good suggestions:
*Make use of a modest kind of detergent to clean the tires, and be sure to rinse them properly
*Refrain from using harsh chemicals which will only deteriorate their performance
*Make sure that you clean and wax the wheels every week. In case of an aluminum one, make use of a corrosion-free chemical to make it free of rust and give it the required spark
*Keep a check on the tires each time you ride it for atmospheric pressure
*Make it a habit to keep checking for the best motorcycle tires and the wheel for cracks, loose nut bolts, etc. to prevent accidents

Have a great ride!
