Penis Enlargement - The Jelqing Technique

07 May.
Posted by james_foster11 in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

Jelqing is a penis enlargement technique that has been used for hundreds of years. Many men have gained considerable length and girth through the use of this technique, so let’s take a look at how it is done.

Jelqing works by forcing blood through the penis which creates internal pressure. This produces micro-tears in the tissue of the penis, the damage quickly heals overnight. The effects of this are increased size and girth.

To perform the technique you must first make an OK sign with your thumb and forefinger, you then grip the base of the partially erect penis. You then pull this grip forward towards the end of the penis shaft, the stroke shouldn’t take any longer than three seconds. Once you have reached the end of the penis, you then perform the exact same motion with your second hand.

You then repeat this process using both hands in an OK sign grip to stroke from the base of the shaft to the end.

Erection size is very important, it is said that jelqing with lower erections creates length, and jelqing with larger erections creates girth.

If you are trying to achieve maximum girth, the best technique is to gain a larger erection, you then apply low pressure at the start of the stroke and higher pressure towards the end. This will create girth and will give you what is called a “baseball bat” shape to your penis.

It is important however that your penis becomes accustomed to the exercise, so therefor you should begin by performing the technique whilst your penis is partially erect. This will strengthen the penis, which will allow you to perform the jelqing method on larger erections in the future.

It must be stressed however that you shouldn’t over train your penis, in most extreme cases over training can cause post workout shrinkage.

It is also important that you use a warm wrap before exercising. You should warm the penis for around 5 minutes prior to performing the jelqing technique. To do this simply wet a cloth with warm water, try to make the cloth as hot as possible without the heat inflicting pain. Hold this cloth around the penis, until it cools down, once it has cooled reheat the cloth in warm water and reapply.

It is recommended to perform the exercise for about 30 minutes, anything longer than 45 minutes should only be used for shock routines.

Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Surgery: The Quickest Way Of Look And Feel Your Best At Any Age

A few weeks ago, I went to receive a person whom I used to know in my childhood. I had expected an aged gentleman, but instead I bumped upon a quite handsome man who has a youthful air in his persona as well as appearance rare for his age. To see the surprise in my eyes, he confided about his secret—minimally invasive cosmetic procedure.

He preferred this approach over the traditional invasive techniques apparently because of his horror of going under the knife. But there are many more reasons, why nearly ten millions of Americans have so far opted for less invasive cosmetic procedures to get rid of the mark of aging or other flaws in their appearance. Before getting into details of many advantages of minimally invasive approach, let us explain in brief what is actually meant by minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

Looking gorgeous even at the age of fifty—-the dream seems to be too intriguing, and it is not impossible either in the face of huge advancement in the field of cosmetic science. But lots of people just can not avail the opportunity due to their phobia about surgery or simply they can not spare the time for recovery.
But with minimally invasive cosmetic procedures coming into the scene, the world of cosmetic surgery has been revolutionized. The procedure is characterized by four features: no or minimum cutting, no or very little open surgery, minimum risk and immediate effect. To top them all, the cost is also far lower.

In general, the five most popular minimally invasive procedures include Botox injections, chemical peel, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, and collagen injections. Again among them, injectable filler procedures such as Botox, variety of dermal fillers Sculptra are most popular. These are mainly applied where aging is the result of loss of fat and where skin damage is more the function of sun exposure and life style factors, the process of microdermabrasion is the preferred minimally invasive procedure.

Advantages:
In general, minimally invasive surgeries are characterized by minimal blood loss and quicker recovery, with no trace of scar. So far as minimally invasive cosmetic procedures are concerned, they come with the advantages of very quick downtime with immediate or very fast result, low cost with the absence of any scar mark left after the surgery. In this fast paced world, men and women seems to have very little time for such things as going for an appearance rejuvenation, waiting for its results and spending times indoor for recovering from the procedures. However, minimally invasive techniques are the quick fix solution for this problem. It is not without reason that they are sometimes called ‘lunchtime’ procedures as they let you take the treatment in the lunchtime and then attend the important engagement following it.

With the increase in the number of patients opting for minimally invasive procedures, it is said, the days are not far when, these procedures will become the part of normal lifestyle routine and as common as going through a face massage session in your local saloon.

When A ‘Mini’ Becomes A Suitable Alternative To All Out Cosmetic Surgery

One interesting fact about human nature is: even the prettiest of the girl has some complains about her looks which she would definitely like to correct if given chances. But every body can not fulfill their dreams about getting an all new look! Some times there are budget constraints, sometimes there are psychological factors preventing the candidate from going under knife, sometimes there may be lack of time for undergoing a complicated process. If you were imagining about the possibility of a cosmetic procedure sans these problems, well, you have been thinking in the right direction! You might have already encountered this words— “mini” and “micro” in the list of modern cosmetic surgery glossary. If any of these above mentioned problems happen to stop you from taking decision in favor of a cosmetic makeover, then a “mini” is precisely what that can solve your problem.

What is a mini plastic surgery?
The terms “mini” or “micro” are used in the world of plastic surgery to denote variety of meanings. Any of the plastic surgery never pretended to be inexpensive; but a mini cosmetic surgery is what makes purchase of improved appearance affordable for the greater section of the society. Not only they are less expensive, the micro or mini surgeries essentially involve less complicated, and less demanding procedures. They are meant to repair smaller imperfections with minimum possible incision. At the core, mini-cosmetic surgery can be regarded as a “touchup” procedure as compared to the traditional procedures of cosmetic surgery like that of facelift.

Examples
Let’s site some examples to give you hints about how a mini works. Let’s consider Michel’s case; she never actually liked the way her cheek bones turned out. She preferred a sharper feature. In traditional plastic surgery, the surgeon will advice you to go for cheekbone implants which involve an elaborate and expensive procedure. But a mini cosmetic procedure would achieve the same and even better result by removing some of the layers of fats from the middle of cheekbones through a tiny incision.

The same way, you can go for mini facelift that is performed by making smaller incisions and using tiny barb sutures in place of a large incision that requires heavier stitching.

Similarly, you can consider Micro Neck-lift, Micro-Lipo Procedure or Mini Tummy Tuck.

Benefits
In addition of being far less costly, mini or micro procedures come with many more advantages such as reduced surgical time, less recovery time, and less pain. The greatest advantage of mini procedure is: it helps you to keep up with small changes at a time as and when the mark of ages resurfaces. As for instance, where the effects of a traditional facelift are expected to last for ten to fifteen years, the effects of a mini-facelift touchup lasts for about five years. After that you can go for another mini facelift to keep with the impact of age to maintain a consistent look. The mini procedures are particularly preferred when you want to deal with some minor aesthetic issues.

If you have just started to discover the footprints of age on your face, but not prepared to undergo traditional invasive plastic surgery, a mini cosmetic surgery can be the ideal solution for you. It is the people in their 30’s or 40’s who find this weekend approach of cosmetic surgery to be most convenient. Should You Consider Natural And Alternative Treatments For Your Health Needs

02 May.
Posted by teahupoo in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

It is safe to say that most people in the United States go to the doctor when they feel ill. The doctor will treat the illness by prescribing some type of medicine. We then take what he or she has given us and hopefully feel better. This is how modern medicine works, and what we, as a society, come to believe is the only way to receive treatment. If anyone were to suggest we think about alternative medicine, we would probably dismiss it as foolishness.

That was not always the case though. Before the introduction of man made medicines, people of all cultures had to rely on home remedies. Some cultures used herbal medicines, while others would have a village medicine man who local people would visit for treatment of whatever ailed them. He would then pass on his knowledge of the healing powers of herbs to his apprentices so that they could continue his work. Today this is what we call natural medicine.

Natural medicine is the use of traditional methods to treat sickness. With the birth of modern medicine, most doctors discarded the use of herbs and other home remedies and replaced them with man made drugs. What they failed to remember is that natural treatments are based on the healing properties of herbs. Even some of the drugs they continued to use, such as aspirin, quinine and digitalis had been once considered home remedies.

Strangely enough with all of our technological advancements and modern ways of thinking, we are going back to the old ways and once again embracing natural medicines. Quite a few organizations have dedicated themselves to the study of these old fashion methods. Even government and health agencies advocate the use of certain treatments.

Natural treatments also tend to focus on living a healthy lifestyle, not just treating a patient when they become ill. Practitioners of these treatments focus mainly on diet and living well. So, Mom was right when she said to eat our vegetables.

But before you run out and visit you local acupuncturist, it would be best to consult a physician to find out if this is the best possible treatment. With more and more studies being conducted, many treatments have been proven to be ineffective in treating serious conditions. It is believed that these remedies are more appropriate to be used for minor ailments, and might be best used in conjunction with modern medicines.

It is funny how things have come full circle. For many years natural medicines were believed to be a bunch of old wives tales. Now doctors are seriously considering the validity of some of these so called “out of date” treatments. Some have even gone so far as to combine natural medical practices with modern medicine. Hopefully this will open the door to finding out how much more nature has to offer to our society.

How To Use Natural Herbs For Healing

02 May.
Posted by teahupoo in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

With cold and flu season coming up, many of us would benefit from using a vapor bath to help open the sinuses and facial pores. To start, place the herbal mixture you have chosen into a pot of boiling water and let it steep (covered) for about 10 minutes.

Make a tent with a towel over your face and neck and put your face down over the uncovered pot. Be careful; you certainly don’t want to get scalded! If the steam is too hot, you can wait a short time and try again or add some cold water. Breathe deeply and enjoy!

Adding herbs to your bath water can be therapeutic. Make sure the bath is warm enough to be comfortable (somewhere around 90 degrees is recommended). You can choose sea salt, herbs, or a combination of the two. If you would like to add herbs, one way to introduce them to the water is to hang tea bags under the spout as the water fills up the tub. Herbs can also be added to water for a refreshing foot bath.

When using herbs, it is important to educate yourself about the different properties associated with different kinds, to ensure that you will get the benefit you are seeking from whatever herb or combination you choose. Check that the herbs you choose are pesticide free. Be sure that you are using natural products in a safe manner; some of them are safe to be used on the skin but will cause illness (or worse) if ingested. In the beginning, it would be prudent to experiment with just one herb at a time. If you have an adverse reaction, you will at least know which type of herb you are allergic to.

When starting out, a good choice is to work with the Aloe Vera plant. Known as the “healing plant”, the juice from the leaves of the Aloe Vera can be applied to any kind of skin condition. It is especially useful to take the sting out of burns including sunburns.

These hardy plants can be grown at home by even the brownest thumb. They are very easy to use: simply peel off one of the leaves from the base of the plant and tear or cut it open. It’s the “juice” inside that you will want to apply to your skin. The most convenient way to accomplish this is to simply squeeze it directly onto the skin irritation. No special preparation is required and the stinging will stop very quickly. The properties contained in Aloe Vera also help the skin heal quickly.

As you get to know more about herbs, you will be able to add to your repertoire of applications for them. Perhaps you will start your own herb garden!

A Look At Home Made Herbal Beauty Products

02 May.
Posted by teahupoo in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

If you have ever been inspired to make your own beauty products at home but ultimately decided not to proceed because you were intimidated by the process, here are some suggestions for you:

Like any new venture, the best way to ensure success is by taking things one step at a time and adopting an open attitude. No one person, no matter how well versed in the subject, will ever know all there is to know about herbs. Feel free to learn at whatever pace makes you comfortable.

You might want to browse through the selections at your local public library to get a feel for the kind of information that is available. Then, when you find a particular guide book that suits your needs, you can go ahead and purchase one. Try to find one that you can use as a reference guide, with the properties of various plant products listed in an easy to read manner. You might well find yourself going to your garden or to the local market for remedies for common health ailments instead of your medicine cabinet or the drug store!

Once you have gained enough knowledge to be familiar with the different properties of herbs, you can then proceed to making use of them for whatever your needs may be. Some herbs act as a sedative, which is good for both body and mind. Still others are astringents, which is helpful if you are dealing with oily skin, while others are antiseptics, which may help those with acne.

Now that you know which herbs to use for your particular condition, how do you use them? One common way is by infusion. This is a lot like making tea. Using a glass container with a lid, boil the water (one pint of water for each ounce of herbs) first, then add the herbs (including stems and leaves). The mixture is then left to steep for about 10 minutes. Strain it, and then you can use the liquid in whatever fashion you choose.

Some natural products take the form of seeds, roots, or bark. If you would like to work with these items, the procedure is a little different: The best results are obtained if you used a small mortar and pestle to grind up the roots and seeds before you put them in the pot. This will help you get the most benefit from your ingredients by releasing their properties fully.

You need the to use a container made from a non metallic material, but in this case you need to bring the mixture to a slow boil and keep it boiling for about 15 minutes. The lid of the pot should not be put on tightly; instead, leave it at a bit of an angle to let steam escape. After 15 minutes, take the pot off the stove and let it steep for another few minutes (5 to 10 are recommended). Strain as above, and then use the liquid.

If you take the time to do some research first, the whole world of natural beauty products isn’t really so intimidating. Figure out what you would like to treat, find out what herbs are needed and how to prepared them, and you will be well on your way to a whole new hobby.

TCA Peel For Treating Corns And Calluses

02 May.
Posted by dmaillie in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

Corns and calluses can cause great discomfort and are actually a very common problem. They can result from improperly fitted shoes, overly dry skin, foot movement or pronation problems and other reasons. Corns and calluses make walking and other similar activities painful and difficult. There are many over the counter remedies, but the problem is most do not work at all or marginally at best. Here is a treatment regimen that really works and is actually used by podiatrists in their offices.

Most of the time, removing the source of the callus or corn will be sufficient. This can be as easy as obtaining better fitting shoes or more cushioning inserts or soles. It can also mean bunions and other bone problems or pronation that may need orthotics or corrective shoes and devices or even surgery. This your doctor can best prescribe for you. Better fitting shoes that remove the friction that causes a corn or callus will prevent reformation.

To remove a current corn or callus we must first understand what they are. Generally a corn or callus is thickened skin that covers a toe joint (corn) or can occur usually on the balls and heel of the foot or palm of the hand (callus). This toughened skin the rubs or presses inward against nerves, bone and tissue causing discomfort and as long as the friction that causes this thickened skin is allowed to persist, the corn or callus will continue to grow slowly increasing the discomfort and pain along with them.

Many times a little tender loving care is all that is needed. Soak the affected area in warm water until the skin softens (usually about 10-15 minutes). Then remove the loosened skin with a pumice stone or other device specifically for corn or callus removal. The rough, thick skin will come off in small pieces due to the abrasion effect of the stone. Do not over do this on the first treatment. Soaking and pumice will take several or even many treatments to make a great difference in the size of the corn or callus.

Another effective method is using a strong chemical peel like the TCA peel (trichloroacetic acid) to remove the corn or callus. A TCA peel is very effective as it will only affect the corn or callus, unlike sanding with a pumice stone which will remove skin on areas around or near the affected area. A TCA chemical peel is a controlled chemical burn which will result in the corn or callus peeling away harmlessly in a few days. Depending on the thickness of the corn or callus more than one treatment may be necessary. The TCA peel is a very effective skin treatment with many uses and is available for in home use.

Great Anti Aging Skin Care Advice

01 May.
Posted by dmaillie in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

The reality of life is that inevitably our bodies and therefore our skin age. However, with recent advances in the skin care and treatment industry we can slow and maybe even stop or reverse this process. We hear about miracle cures every day on TV and in magazine advertisements. But what really works? Is it really possible to turn back the clock and enjoy 10 or 20 year younger skin? Some say it can not be done as we are genetically predisposed to the aging process. Doctors, dermatologists and plastic surgeons say it is possible and there are treatments that can actually turn back the clock and reveal younger, rejuvenated skin.

The number one recommendation from dermatologists is to stop smoking. Smoking has been proven to constrict blood vessels and result in a reduction of blood flow to the extremities. Smoking also causes the skin to dry out and will age your skin by 10 or more years. If you want to have younger looking skin you must stop smoking.

Another recommendation is proper hydration. It is recommended that we drink 6-8 glasses of water a day for proper hydration. According to the American Skin Association most Americans are not properly hydrated and this can cause the skin to lose elasticity and its ability to heal and defend against disease. To test for proper hydration pinch and pull the skin between your thumb and forefinger. If it goes right back you are properly hydrated. The longer it takes the more likely you are not properly hydrated. If it does not go back at all you are badly dehydrated. Dehydration and improper hydration can age your skin similar to that of smoking.

Dermatologists recommend exfoliation to remove dead cells, unclog pores and stimulate the skin. This can be done by a variety of methods from masks and microdermabrasion to various skin peels. The most recommended method is also the one used in more dermatologist and plastic surgeons offices than any other treatment, the TCA peel. The TCA peel was made famous by Dr. Obagi whom created the infamous Obagi Blue Peel.

The Obagi Blue Peel is a TCA peel with the addition of a blue or green colored skin dye. This dye colors the skin and indicates what areas have been treated and which have not. The Obagi Blue Peel is a good treatment, but many doctors have found that a pure TCA peel gives better results that last much longer and require ffewer if any follow up treatments. Whereas a Obagi Blue Peel may require 3 to 5 treatments over a years time, a pure TCA peel may only need 1. And at a cost of $300 to $500 or more per treatment that can get very expensive. Recently the TCA peel has been made available for in home use at a great savings.

TCA peels are one of the most effective anti aging treatments due to their ability to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, restore skin pH, and even stimulate the production of collagen. This production of collagen will plump skin and make it more youthful naturally. The TCA peel should be added to every anti aging skin care regimen.

Another recommendation is stay out of the sun and wear a sun block or lotion with a high SPF (Sun Protection Factor). Damaging UV rays will age your skin, damage skin cells and DNA which can lead to mutated cells and even skin cancer. The rule is every 1 day you spend unprotected in the sun makes your skin at least 10 days older. It will not seem to matter at first, but it really adds up after a while. Who wants to have old, wrinkled and leather like skin? Sun protection is a must for any anti aging skin care treatment or regimen.

Take the time to properly protect your skin and it will look healthy and younger for a long, long time.

Why You Should Consider Alternative Natural Medicines Instead Of Drugs

01 May.
Posted by teahupoo in Alternative Medicine | No Comments

If you watch television, then I’m sure you have noticed all of the advertisements for various medications. These remedies span from depression and arthritis, to migraines and cholesterol reduction. They all give the impression that this is the best medication for whatever illness it was designed for, showing the happy people who take them. Then, they start listing the potential side effects, and some of them sound more dangerous than the illnesses themselves.

Some of the doctors who prescribe these medications will often frown on taking an herbal alternative. To them, these natural medications are not really medicine and are a waste of time and money. While it’s true that not every herbal remedy is as effective as it may be reported to be, studies have shown that many of them are. What these doctors fail to realize is that many of the chemical prescriptions are the synthetic equivalents of the herbal medications. Millions of dollars are spent each year on the study of plants and ways to get the same results by use of chemicals. One of the reasons this is done is because typically, natural medications can not be patented, but the chemical ones can. This allows pharmaceutical companies to gain more profits by carrying products that the other companies are not allowed to reproduce.

If you take a look at history, prior to chemical medications coming onto the market, herbal medications were given to treat illness. This is not to say that there haven’t been huge advancements in technology that allows for disease to be treated more effectively. Unfortunately, chemical prescriptions can be very hard on the body. Natural medications derived from herbs are usually tolerated much better.
Natural medications also help to prevent diseases. One of the things that you often hear about is antioxidants. These are plant based compounds that fight all kinds of disease, such as Alzheimer’s, cancer and other devastating illnesses. While an orange is not necessarily considered a medication, it is so high in vitamin C and antioxidants, that even doctors recommend eating them. The old saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” has been proven to be true, because apples contain pectin, a fiber that the body needs to function properly. This is being pointed out because logically, if plant based products can prevent disease, then they should be more widely used to treat it.

Recently, the medical field is giving more credence to natural medications. Many suggest using them for various diseases and all recommend that we include more fruits and vegetables in our diet. Before you start taking herbal medications, it’s important to research them and get all of the facts. Don’t stop taking any prescriptions without speaking to your doctor. Ask your physician about herbal medications that will complement your existing prescriptions or, if you can completely replace them with natural ones.
