17 Steps To Success and Motivation

17 Jun.
Posted by Poquits in Advice | No Comments

I would like to give you some tips on how to find motivation. Here are the things that I suggest you to do : the first thing is to ask yourself how to overcome your “Enemy”, which is called Procrastination.

Procrastination is the biggest enemy you have to fight in your life!They are deadly distractions on your road to success. You have to constantly be aware of it and stop procrastination leading you to make excuses not to act!

I suggest that you first look at your daily habits : are they protecting you from the enemy and pushing you towards your dreams? If not, well, you have some work to do! Let me give you some thoughts and steps that will help you on your turnaround process :

1. Close the doors of your past and open the ones of your future;
2. Expect to strech yourself, starting with small steps;
3. Build your foundations first and let the seeds grow;
4. What you are now is the direct result of your daily actions. You can only blame yourself for your results;
5. Where do you have low beliefs and doubts? What do you tell to yourself? Do you have the life you love?
6. Take the mindset to committment to the long-term : what you build today builds your future.Go to the next level; be in the winning game!
7. Success is a decision over procrastination that cost your dreams. If you choose to be a champion,
there will be no limits, because there will be no competition! You will stay out of the lines, enjoying freedom and happiness.
8. Become a warior of your life purpose and focus on it! Go from your comfort zone to your construction zone,even if it takes uncomfortable decisions.Never quit! (life is a symphony and there always will be high and law notes) : just stay in the process of growing!
9. Success is about hearing the truth and willing to challenge yourself;
10. Look at what you do behind the scenes : are your words, actions, attitudes leading you to success?
11. Move forwards your dreams on a daily basis. Plant the seeds, and the harvest will come one day;
12. Look inside yourself and tap into your greatness : Believe in you, move away from negativity,decide you will not be denied;
13. Listen to your heart : become INTERNALY DRIVEN, develop your spirituality (relation to your creative source).
14. There is a place for you if you want to step out and leave “comfort city”;
15. There is no option to quit : your determination will create your destination;
16. Don’t ask life to be easier, but become better; it’s how you react to adversity and pain that matters;
17. Again, refuse to give up on your ultimate achievement of your life purpose;
18. Fight adversity daily (negative people, stupid ideas) : This makes loosers!
19. Elevate yourself to leadership : separate you from the crowd and ACT!Develop an excited mentality!
15. Look at your 5 best friends? Are they successful, are they givers? If not, then look again
whoom you have been listening to! Listen to mentors and forward-thinking people.

Now, what would be the steps to reach success in whatever you do? How do you bridge the gap between who and where you are now and where and who you want to be in the future? How do you open the doors to prosperity, wealth and unlimited abundance?
First, remember we are all empowered to live a blessed life! So, have faith! Here are a few crucial steps that will help you on your road to fulfillment:

1. Take responsibility for your actions : look in the mirror and think about what you do!
2. Take Daily Actions : remember : faith without corresponding actions is nothing!Speak out lound positive affirmations in which you truly believe;
3. Go into mentorship : our relationships make our degree of happiness! Who are you with? Who are you listening to? Extract information from your mentors. They will challenge you, but will help you come out of your “hole”…
4. Check your words and actions : what do you speak out? Is it an image of championship? Does is it reflect your vision?
5. Be committed! Decide if you are willing to pay the price of your transformation. Decide to be persistent, focused on growth;Your committment and actions create your future;
6. Trust in yourself and love yourself;
7. Does your life purpose drive any decision you make? Who are you down deep? Does your “Why” move you? It must empower you.
8. Give an End to the excuses that are keeping you from growing : your “enemy” wants to steal your
dreams, your energy, your enthusiasm, your gifts, your motivation.
9. Listen, be silent : see your body with your eyes in a mirror. Look at what comes out. How do you feel? Is your heart full of success-attitude? Are you accountable for every action you take? Are you honest and loving? Listen to your inner voice.Our completion resides in us first.
10. Focus on making a difference in people’s lives. Don’t focus on money! This mindset of giving and
receiving will bring a big harvest;Intend to win, to explode and unleash your potential, your inner brillance!
11. Look inside you? Whomentors you? Be immersed in personal growth daily, in teaching and loving.
12. Shut the doors on excuses, exit your old life and open the door on prosperity. Give and not
take from others. Give value to the world. Stand-up, stand out, step-up into your goals and dreams.
13. Believe in the posibilities (others did it also). Don’t diminish yourself.
14. Have a “Yes” mind : your intention must be high, your attachement (the “how”) must be low : just let go! Use your “You” power. Be you. Develop a strong Wisdom of what you want to become;
15. Practice forgiveness : your heart will start vibrating with positive energy!
16. Happiness is a choice : “Be” first, “do and have” after : eliminate “When I…,I will”!
17. Control your emotions and learn not to be controled by them!

I hope these steps will help you on your way to wealth, growth and success!

Building Financial Freedom Takes Leverage

17 Jun.
Posted by writerros in Advice | No Comments

When you read a self-help book or a successful person’s biography, it can seem that anyone who is at all successful has overcome incredible odds to get there. Top entrepreneurs or motivational speakers all seem to have once been bankrupt, penniless and poverty-stricken or on the brink of a life of crime. You could almost be forgiven for thinking that building financial freedom requires financial failure to start with!

It’s certainly a common theme in the internet marketing world. “Yesterday I was washed-up, homeless loser; now here’s a picture of me in my yacht…”

I’m not really being cynical here. These stories are often extremely moving and motivating. Matt Morris’s story must be one of the most inspiring: brought up in a women’s shelter after abuse from his alcoholic father, later homeless and likely to follow his brother’s route to prison, he turned his life around and founded Success University.

This is, of course, both motivating and good marketing. Creating a life of success and riches when you have started at the bottom of the heap is motivating for those of us who live in relative comfort and ease. If he can do, then certainly I can!

Is it necessary to start at the bottom in order to get to the top? It does perhaps suggest that desperate backgrounds create more motivated people. The leverage: the desire to get out of that situation and into something better must be so much stronger than those of us who actually have a roof over our heads and eat three times a day.

So what is the answer? Do we have to go and live in a cardboard box first?

I don’t think so. I think that the lesson we can learn from these people is to create a certain amount of “leverage” in order to motivate ourselves from our current position to the one we want.

In personal development we are often told not to focus on what we don’t want, but what we do want. This is excellent advice because what we focus on we are more likely to create.

However, if we don’t really feel badly enough about our current situation, how are we to create the impetus to make a change? Sometimes, getting in touch with how we feel about our current situation can be just the motivation that’s needed.

If you need a few reminders to spur you into action, here’s a little list of baddies.

Financial Stress: There’s a recession on and you are feeling insecure. Even at the best of times you are only earning enough to keep the roof over your head and your family fed. Now, petrol/gas prices are rising, but your salary doesn’t look like it will improve in the next century. At this rate you will be 150 before you can begin to consider retirement.

The Daily Grind: The commute to work means you are already stressed and exhausted before you even start work. There’s a pile of work on your desk that will take you until midnight to complete and your boss is shouting for it by lunch time.

Feeling Trapped: You feel undervalued. The only person who seems to benefit from your hard work is the person at the top. You feel trapped in the day-to-day routine like a hamster in a wheel. The harder you work, the less time you have. What happened to your independence and drive?

OK, that’s enough before I get depressed! I must say, I have experienced all three of the above, and I am glad I took the leap to self employment.

If any of this strikes a chord with you, it might be time for you to make a change. Decide what you don’t want in your life any more, and then focus on what you DO want.

Someone once said that when we stop learning, we stop living, but you don’t have to have a college degree to take the step towards future financial freedom. If you are teachable and trainable you can start right now on that journey. It might take a little while to learn the necessary skills, but with many businesses you can learn as you go along (affiliate marketing, for example, requires very little knowledge or experience to start up). On the other hand, you could use some of your leisure time learning a new skill that could set you on your way to a better future.

If having your own business is something that interests you, it’s time to stop dreaming about it and get started! There is very little to lose and everything to gain.

Matt Morris did not sit around feeling sorry about his life and complaining. Not for long, anyway. The only reason he is where he is today is because he took action. He decided what he did not want any more, and then he decided what he did want.

Take a leaf from his book: the key to building financial freedom is in your hands.

You Don’t Have To Have A Photographic Memory To Sharpen Your Short Term Memory!

16 Jun.
Posted by kevin03 in Advice | No Comments

I often find myself envious of those who have a photographic memory. It seems virtually impossible for these individuals to forget anything! It would be wonderful to remember all those things that I study, all those birthdays and other holidays, and even small things like phone numbers, and lists! My interest in strengthening my short term memory lead me into researching various methods to achieve this goal. While conducting my research, I ran across a little concept called “Imagery”. Here, I will tell you why you do not have to have a photographic memory to sharpen your mind!

The mind is a very complex, mysterious but very interesting part of the body. The delicate components of the brain works collectively with the body on a consistent basis. Imagery is based on this very important fact concerning the brain. In order to fully understand the mind, you must first understand the concepts of short and long term memory. If you understand these elements of the mind, you can better understand the functioning of the brain as a whole, despite the fact that the functions are performed by many separate units.

For the sake of comparison, we will say that the short term memory is much like a digital video recorder. As we live each day, the short term memory is recording everything. It records the things that you see, the things that you smell, the things that you hear, even the things that you touch and taste. That’s pretty impressive, right? I think so! Now, when we think about the long term memory, let’s compare it to a library. A little odd, I know, but it will make sense. As you know, libraries contain many different books on numerous topics. Not all of the books are good. As a matter of fact, some are awful! However, they are still kept there for when they are required again.

Now, when something is processed by the short term memory, or “written” and “published” to the mind, if you will, the library (long term memory) comes up and snatches the ones that are important. The “book” will then be placed among the shelves of memories contained in the long term memory library. If a person tried, or engaged in many different memory techniques, or hypnosis, it is quite possible for them to recall memories locked away in the long term memory in great detail. Conversations could be remembered, and a number of other things.

Now, I will explain why imagery is so important when it comes to sharpening the short term memory. Basically, you will just want to consider the fact that all of your senses - seeing, touch, hearing, touch, and taste - have a direct impact on the way that you remember things. When using imagery, you are taking components from each of the senses and applying them to focusing on that which you want to remember. Let’s say that you need to remember to get a few items at a store. You will want to make a list for this. As you create your list visualize where each of these items are. If you do this, and happen to forget the list, you can easily recall what it is that you needed.

That’s pretty easy, right?

There are three basic strategies that can be used to sharpen your short term memory. The following outlines these:

1. When trying to remember something, pay special attention to physical details.

2. You should take what it is that you are trying to remember and then associate it with something else.

3. Now, you will want to observe any colors, and smells associated with what it is that you are trying to remember.

If you practice imagery to enhance your short term memory, you will find that you are successful each and every time!

Self Improvement: Achieving The Extraordinary

15 Jun.
Posted by dschaefer in Advice | No Comments

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a very simple, but profound
statement that literally began a change in me that has led to my extraordinary success in life. The little quip that began my life-long journey to success was, “Nothing great was ever
achieved without enthusiasm”.

What stirred the passions in my heart and my commitment to self-improvement was the thought that I too could achieve greatness in my life if I had the enthusiasm and commitment to go after the extraordinary. That high school American Literature class that I really did not want to take became the catalyst for my success. If I had not read Emerson, Thoreau and other great American authors
and thinkers, I may not be writing this to you today.

You see, I believe everything that happens to us happens by Infinite design. And sometimes, a high school English class can change your life. You know, one thing leads to another; good or bad.

Do not dwell on the negative; look for the positives in every situation. So instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over
past heartaches, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they will become your tools in both self-improvement and success.

Do you remember the movie Patch Adams starring Robin Williams? Its one of the great films that will help motivate you to improve yourself. Patch Adams is a medical student who failed to make it through the board exams. After months of suffering in melancholy, depression and suicidal attempts he decided to seek medical attention and voluntarily admitted himself into a psychiatric ward.

His months of stay in this mental hospital led him to meet many different kinds of mentally ill people. He met a catatonic, a mentally challenged, a schizophrenic and so on. Patch found ways of treating his own ailment and finally realized he had to get back on track. He woke up one morning realizing that after all the failure and pains he has gone
through, he still wanted to become the a doctor.

He carries with himself a positive attitude that brought him self improvement and success. He not only improved himself, but also helped the lives of the
people around him. He improved their quality of life. Did he succeed? Some say he became the best doctor this country has ever known.

So, when does self improvement become synonymous with success? How do you go from ordinary success to extraordinary achievement?
Let me share some thoughts with you that will get you on the road to abundant living and success.

See Your Future

The first thing you have to do is stop thinking and feeling as if you are a failure, no matter what your life experiences have been up to now. You have to begin with clean slate. As motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, says, “You must change your stinkin’ thinkin’ today”. Start focusing on where you want to be. Now put all of your energy into achieving that goal.

Look forward and only use the past as a motivation to drive yourself to new victories. Many people expend far too much energy looking back at their failures and shorcomings. Look for new opportunities to stretch and grow.

Help Others

If you really want to help yourself, then start helping others. That’s right, when you help other people who feel so down and low about themselves, as their outlook improves you too will begin to rise up with them. Your confidence will soar and so will your results. Quoting my good friend Zig Ziglar again, “You can get everything you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

Keep Learning

While it has been many years since I attended elementary school, I do remember vividly how I looked forward to each new day of school. Yes, I was
one of those kids who actually liked school. I loved being with my friends. I loved recess. I loved those special occasions where we would have parties
in the classroom. What I really loved was coming to school each day to learn something new.

It was so exciting to learn how to read and write; add and subtract; learning was a passion for me. I wanted to grow and expand my mind, but then
something strange happened. I became an adult and I looked at learning differently. It became a burden. I had too many other responsibilities to worry
about to learn more seemingly useless things.

It was at this same time that I found myself no longer enjoying life with the same enthusiasm as I did as a child. My point is simply this; if you commit yourself to a lifetime of learning you will find that you will rekindle the passion for living
an abundant life. Abundant living leads to extraordinary achievement!

Do The Little Things Too

Self improvement means doing the little things that most people will not do. So many times we get focused on the big, monumental goals and activities
that we forget the smaller fundamental steps that success requires. Warren Buffett grew his financial empire by paying close attention to the details of
each individual business. By doing the little things right, Buffett is now one of the richest men in the world despite starting with only one-thousand dollars
of his own money.

Embrace Change

If you are committed to self-improvement and living an extraordinary life, you must embrace change. You will find that you are constantly evolving in your
knowledge and beliefs so accepting change will be mandatory. In this fast-paced world of technological advancement, if you are not ready accept change,
then your success journey will be short-lived.

Self-improvement is an on-going process. There is no such thing as an “overnight success”. There is an ancient proverb that says, When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Are you a student that is ready for extraordinary achievement?

If so, your teachers are here for you. They appear daily for you as parents, employers, co-workers, ministers, neighbors, friends, relatives and people from every walk in life. When we open our doors and our hearts for self improvement, we increase our chances of success on the road of life.

Easy Visualization Exercises You Can Do In Just Minutes

13 Jun.
Posted by art_stanley in Advice | No Comments

Visualization is big word that describes a simple, yet powerful and effective technique for creating whatever you want. Before we get into specific visualization exercises you can do to get the most out of your sessions, let’s briefly explain the process.

When visualizing, the first thing you need to do is relax. Once you’ve reached a deep level of relaxation, you enable yourself to connect with the Universal Mind or Spirit. Don’t let that spook you — it’s an amazing process and once you experience this amazing feeling, you’ll want to revisit it again and again.

Once you’re in a deep state of relaxation (whether you’ve felt a connection or not) it’s a matter of monitoring your thoughts. The goal is to free your mind of the mental chatter of multiple thoughts, issues of the day and concerns. Once you’ve reached this blissful state, you simply imagine your goal or dream result. Get a picture in your mind’s eye of you in possession of the desired object or conditions. That’s what visualization is all about.

There are a few keys to making the process of visualization work for you. First and foremost, you’ve got to feel what it’s like to have the result you want. Feelings are a key component. Get a deep sense of what it will be like when your goal is manifested. Assume ownership of that goal. Make it yours. As Bob Proctor says, “name it and claim it.” What you’re doing at this point is creating the mold in spirit of what you will soon realize in the physical world. Repeat the process over and over again until what you want is yours.

When it comes to specific visualization exercises, step number one is to find a quiet, peaceful place where you can be alone for about 15 minutes or so. Natural settings are great, weather permitting, of course. A forest path, quiet stretch of beach, park bench, or even the bank of a stream have all proven to be excellent natural settings to engage in creative visualization.

Now here a few easy visualization exercises to quickly reach a state of relaxation. Simply repeat the word “relax” again and again, slowly, purposefully, feeling more relaxed with each occurrence. Deep breathing is another visualization exercise that will help you relax deeper and deeper. Another technique is to count down from one to ten. As you do so, imagine that you’re descending a staircase and each step down takes you to a deeper level of relaxation. Try it. It works like magic.

Once you’ve reached a peaceful, relaxed state of mind, you’ll still find a myriad of random thoughts entering your consciousness. These visualization exercises will help. Strive to offer no thoughts. As you notice your mind thinking about something, simply release the thought. Imagine yourself staring into space. Or imagine a giant white screen in front of you with nothing on it but blank space. Whenever you catch your mind thinking about something, simply return to the blank screen. When you offer no thoughts, you offer no resistance, so you vibration rises automatically.

Now take that blank screen and play a movie featuring you in possession of the goal you seek. Make it vibrant, exciting and alive, with you playing the starring role. This is another visualization exercise that works very well. Another similar approach is to imagine that you’re being honoured for your lifetime achievements. As part of the ceremony, there’s a PowerPoint presentation featuring numerous stills of you doing, having, and being all that you’ve imagined. Put yourself in that place and see yourself being congratulated by many people.

There’s no doubt that visualization is a powerful, creative tool. If you only take these easy visualization exercises and put them to work on a consistent basis, there is virtually nothing in the world that is beyond your reach. The only question is, will you?

Ready to tap into your unlimited mind power to create the life you want? Use these easy visualization exercises and you will have the tools that can give you everything you can imagine. Creative visualization is the secret to living your dreams. http://www.visualizationfx.com

3 Powerful Examples of Affirmations That Can Change Your Life Today

13 Jun.
Posted by art_stanley in Advice | No Comments

Affirmations are nothing more than powerful, inspiring statements made by you about yourself. They are designed to alter your self-concept.

The purpose of using affirmations regularly is to allow you to override the existing programming in your mind that is the result of years of conditioning from parents, teachers, friends, and family. Though often well-meaning in intention, the programming most of us received in our early years is actually holding us back from living the life we really want.

If you can’t honestly say that you are in fact living your dreams, chances are its limited thinking that’s preventing you from being all you can be, doing all you can do, and having all you can imagine. Powerful affirmations can help and to get you started on the right track, I’m about to reveal 3 examples of affirmations you can use or model to create your own.

Affirmations are powerful tools of change. You simply repeat the statement to yourself as though it were absolutely true. Follow the examples below and you will have learned another valuable tool for self improvement.

What affirmations do is they help you to change your existing beliefs. They are designed to upgrade your beliefs about who you are and what you are capable of accomplishing. If you have yet to accomplish all you want in life (and who has, really) than affirmations are something that could seriously benefit you.

Delivered in a positive, confident manner, affirmations eventually take over the existing belief to change your internal programming, making you stronger and more able than you were before. What makes them so effective is they help to create a vision of you having, being, or doing exactly what you want. It’s a preview of coming attractions, with you stepping into the new role you’ve chosen.

Here are the 3 examples of affirmations as promised:

1. Every day in every way, I’m getting better and better. (Emile Coue)

2. My past is nothing more than the trail I’ve left behind. What drives my life today is the energy that I generate in each of my present moments. (Wayne Dyer)

3. I know that I can only think and focus on one thought at a time, so I deal with each issue of my life, one at a time, before moving on to the next. (Art Stanley)

Choose statements that resonate with you and your primary goal. Stand tall. Feel confident and radiant. And speak your chosen affirmations with power and conviction. Use the above examples of affirmations to guide you and then create your own. Repeat several times daily and combine affirmations with visualization and you’ve got a one-two punch that will help you create the life of your dreams.

Tap into your unlimited mind power to create the life you want. Combine affirmations with visualization and you can be, have or do anything you desire. But there is an easier way and all you have to do is listen in… http://www.visualizationfx.com

Positive Thinking Is A Magnet For Success

13 Jun.
Posted by kevin03 in Advice | No Comments

Most people have heard of Norman Vincent Peale’s famous book “The Power of Positive Thinking.” The influence of this book and others of a similar ilk has been significant and thousands of people have applied the principles of positive thinking to achieve personal success.

How important is positive thinking to the achievement of success?

More than anything, it seems that our attitude to life has a greater influence on success than education, experience and other factors. So if you want your dreams to materialize, start by monitoring your attitude.

You need to learn how to think positively despite the circumstances. If you can do this, you will have taken a significant step towards achieving your dreams. Fortunately, it is not overly difficult to improve your thinking habits. You simply have to identify negative thoughts you need to change and replace them with positive thoughts.

Positive thinking allows us to reinterpret our experiences and circumstances more optimistically than we might otherwise do. In turn, this gives us greater personal strength to weather the storms we face and turn difficult situations around. It also helps us to move from where we are to where we want to be. By simply paying attention to the stream of thoughts that run through our minds we can quickly identify those that are negative.

It is therefore important to begin to pay attention to your thoughts. How often do you feel unhappy, negative, judgemental or discouraged? Before you can really achieve the success you want it is essential to begin to think more positively.

Positive thinkers do not allow a single negative event to affect their whole lives. They are able to put things in perspective and still maintain a healthy emotional balance. It is amazing how many people hold onto anger and regrets about relatively unimportant things.

To truly take advantage of the power of positive thinking, you need to let go of resentments and unforgiveness. There is a time for these feelings. If you have been betrayed and bruised it is only human to experience emotional pain. However, if you truly want a happy life you cannot hold onto these feelings for very long.

You don’t have to be unrealistic to be a positive thinker. It isn’t about avoiding the truth or hiding from reality; it is simply taking charge of your life beginning with your thoughts. We create what we focus on in life. We may think we are focusing on good things but when we pay attention to our thoughts we can be shocked to discover how negative they are. If our thoughts are negative, we will attract negative things into our lives. It’s that simple.

By simply paying attention to the good things in your life and being grateful for them, you can become a positive thinker. When your thoughts are overwhelmingly positive you will begin to attract more positive experiences into your life. That is the simple yet amazing power of positive thinking.

Do You Suffer Fear Of Success?

13 Jun.
Posted by robertoab in Advice | No Comments

There are many ideas that are not easy to accept, and one of the worst is the idea that we can not have the success that we look for, because we are afraid of success.

It is frequent to see how people that are working on their life’s argument, as a way of approaching more quickly to the goals that they have, when they begin to practice what they have learned, and begin to come closer to their goals, all of a sudden they stop practicing the techniques. Why do they do that?

Simply because they are afraid that their new behaviors might take them toward some kind of unknown danger.

After having lived a life filled with frustrations, they find difficult to accept the idea that they will leave the group of the failures; and happens many times because since they were small they got used to be criticized and the blame feelings.

The parents influence on this is so big that if we wanted to novelize an example, we could say that if someone gives a blue shirt and a green shirt to a seven year-old future winner, when he puts on the blue shirt they will tell him “How happy I am that you like the blue shirt”, but to a future failure they will say “you put on the blue shirt, don’t you like the green one?”.

With this example I want to highlight that it is very frequent to see that in some families, the parents have the tendency to do not notice what the child do, but do notice what we don’t do, or do bad.

I would say that for many, success is as strange as a martian; and then they think things like: “It’s better something bad and well known that something good to be known” or “Better a bird in hand than a hundred flying” or “The changes are dangerous” or “The changes are bad”

All our culture seems to tell us that it is better to escape from the success that to cohabit with a stranger.

The Life’s Argument

Every time that we abandon an old behavior, although it could have been extremely pernicious for us, we feel a strange sensation of loss, of bereavement; because we are so used to love us that we even love those behaviors that damage us.

When the patterns of the failure break, we feel anxiety, something like an emptiness sensation. Our conscious mind is congratulated to have overcome a problem, and at the same time our subconscious mind cries the loss of a well-known one.

This is in fact the point where practicing mind control reaches its maximum value like a catapult toward a better life, because in that moment we will really need, the support of all that helps us to change, and to move from fear to success.

Our Inner Guardian

Our subconscious mind recognizes only one master, and it’s the guardian of our Life’s Argument. That guardian’s mission is to watch over our existence, and to control that nothing changes, to verify that each one of our behaviors responds to some pattern fixed in our past.

That way our waste of energy will be minimum, and everything will continue perfectly predictable and sure, perhaps it won’t please us a lot, perhaps it won’t please us at all, but we will feel sure!

It is our guardian who produces the emptiness sensation, the sadness, the anxiety and fundamentally the fear, fear to change, fear of success.

Our guardian doesn’t give up easily, he doesn’t stop making us feel fear of success, because HE feels fear of success, and only the familiarity with success can calm him, only if we get used to the idea of being praised, we can begin to accept that that ET is a good partner, or even that it is a better partner than those that we have had up to now.

But meanwhile, our inner guardian not only will provoke us fear, but even perspirations, nausea, pains and varied symptoms of uneasiness. These are the consequences of our fear of success, but they are also the signs that we are beginning to change.

Suppose that you have already taken a step toward the success.. What Will it happen then? It will happen that our guardian simply gets calmer because he is receiving the caress of the commendation. But he doesn’t leave, and neither it changes ideas, but rather stays in trap attitude, to see what it is that happens.

He is willing to accept our new success momentarily, but it is not willing to accept the presence of a bigger success.

Every time that we attempt an important new step to the front, our fear of success will reappear. But then we will have a new advantage, and that will be that not only we will have tasted the victory, but we will have made ourselves to the idea, that the success is also waiting for us.

The Terror To Failure

Another great reason for the fear of success, is our terror to failure. We are generally so afraid to fail that we rather give up our dreams, than to suffer another defeat.

But the defeat is not an enemy but a teacher, and we should learn to listen and incorporate its message; we should stop to join forces to attempt it again.

Once I read that when a weights lifter tries to break a mark and it doesn’t achieve it, he doesn’t continue trying and frustrating himself, but rather lowers the weight, practices some time with that lower weight, and when he feels sure again, he tries to conquer its own mark again.

The reality is that there isn’t something like warranted happiness, and the great difference between the winner and the failure, is that the winner faces problems and fears the same as the failure, but the winner overcomes, he learns and it continues ahead.

With this I don’t mean that it is impossible to stop making errors. There are many people that haven’t made a single error for years. And to be part of this group that is not afraid of success because it never makes errors, you need only one thing: to die. : -)

Communication Skills for Young Adults

It is quite ironic that some of life’s biggest decisions are made in our late teens and early twenties. Decisions about further education, entering the workforce, building a career and getting ahead are very prevalent during this time of life. But unfortunately with very few life skills and experience behind a young person this can make for a very stressful and confusing time.

Not only is the decision making process itself all consuming and an incredible pressure for young adults but the process of discussing their options with parents, teachers and university advisors, then interviews with educational facilities and later on, potential employers, can make them feel completely out of their depth.

While living life might be the only way to gain true experience there is much to be said for a person who is able to enter into these challenging scenarios confidently and with the ability to discuss matters of such importance thoroughly and with a clear understanding. Knowing what one wants to achieve, whether education or career related, and being able to communicate that desire effectively and efficiently can ease the pressure experienced during this time and will also provide an individual with an excellent foundation in good communication skills that will serve them well in the years ahead.

Being able to speak confidently with peers, colleagues and superiors is a very valuable skill and will be called upon time and time again in a person’s life. A person who is able to communicate their ideas and thoughts articulately is much more likely to avoid the common stress and challenges of higher education, the interview process, employment reviews and leadership opportunities for example. However, it is important to note that the hallmark of a confident speaker is not one who is overly witty, clever or super polished. The value of a confident speaker is in being someone who is able to easily join a conversation, contributing thoughts and ideas clearly and efficiently and enjoying verbal interaction with people from all walks of life. By mastering a skill such as this an individual would always be a step ahead of the crowd.

So how can a young adult develop these skills without the benefit of life experience and the associated natural learning curve? Many people in similar situations have found great success with a specially designed self hypnosis training program aimed at building confidence when speaking in public. The goal of the program is to help the individual understand where their lack of confidence comes from and to help them break down their old responses to these situations and build up a new set of responses. They will also gain access to new tools and resources that will provide the individual with new found confidence when communicating with others.

Just imagine 30 days from now being able to walk into any situation and instantly feeling poised and confident when contributing your thoughts and ideas, being able to communicate your desires and goals in an inspiring manner without the common feelings of insecurity and intimidation. Someone with this level of confidence would have the edge over their fellow peers without a doubt and would not have to suffer the self conscious awkwardness typical of this period in ones life.

So if you or a young adult you know could benefit from becoming a more confident, self assured communicator, self-hypnosis might be the answer you’ve been looking for and a valuable skill gained for life.

Five Simple Ways to Build an Attitude of Gratitude

Focusing on gratitude keeps us centered and helps ward off negativity.

Here are five little things we can do each day to nourish our sense of gratitude:

1. Choose your friends wisely.
If you want to be more grateful, spend time with grateful people. Spend time with positive people to be more positive; joyful people to be more joyful.

If you strive to be spiritually strong, supportive, empowering, intelligent, energetic, and positive, seek those characteristics in others.

Help your friends develop more positive traits by living those positive traits yourself. Know what kind of friends will help you nurture your soul, and set out to find some.

2. Help your friends cultivate gratitude.
I have seen this happen to myself and to my friends: We will be perfectly content about a situation until someone tells us we are being mistreated or have a right to be upset about something. Suddenly, we are upset.

Try not to let your friends wield such power, and work to avoid wielding such power yourself. Day by day, hour by hour, make a goal to avoid complaining about your life. Make a pact with your friends to cut the complaints from your conversations.

3. Give the gift of gratitude to your children.
Help your children to be satisfied and grateful for simple, everyday things by giving thanks aloud. Keep a Gratitude Journal in which, each day, you record 5 or 10 things for which you are grateful, and ask your children for contributions. Give your children a journal of their own or keep a family Gratitude Journal.

4. Say “Thank You.”
Whom in your life do you appreciate? Let them know, whether it is your mom, your kids, your friends, your husband, your childs daycare provider or the helpful woman behind the cosmetics counter.

Write thank you notes regularly, not just after a gift exchange, and be mindful of all the ways you show your appreciation by the things you do in return.

Tell your kids how thankful you are for them. Jot a note to each of your children in which you tell them how much you love them, why you are thankful for them, and all the
ways they have enriched your life. This can be something you give them now or after they have grown.

5. Be mindful of the little things.
Today, strive to be aware of all the aspects of your personal, professional, and family life for which you are thankful.

Take a few minutes today to appreciate nature. Go for a walk and notice only those things that are beautiful. Whether you focus on the stars above, a distant mountain range, or the cottonwood tree in your backyard, try to notice the details. Give thanks for the beauty that surrounds you.

Regardless of whether you record these items, spend some time each day to focus on the little things in your life that make each day special. Perhaps it is your childs toothless grin. A warm home. Delicious food enjoyed with family.

Together, let us work on focusing on what we have, not on what we do not have, and all the ways we can help one another have more gratitude for the gift of life.
