Caribe Cove Resort - Orlando’s Best Kept Secret
Florida is home to numerous resorts and vacation villas and finding the best place to stay can be very time consuming given the sheer volume you have to look through. Trip Advisor can be a good place to start as you can read a great many unbiased reviews and even look at the ‘candid’ traveller photos which will give you a better indication of what you’re getting for your money.
One little gem that has been quietly rising through the ranks since it’s opening at the end of 2007 is the Caribe Cove Resort, Orlando. At the time of writing it is the Number One Hotel out of 163 in the Kissimmee area which is a remarkable achievement given the short time it has been opened.
Caribe Cove Resort is a platinum-rated resort situated in the lush landscape of Orlando. Although the resort is close to the excitement and bustle of the Disney theme parks it is located in a quiet area surrounded by lakes and wetlands so provides a tranquil environment to return to after a busy day out. It is a gated resort with 24 hour manned security and is made up of 187 two and three bedroom condos with are spread across five 5-storey buildings.
Amongst the amenities to be found at Caribe Cove are a lovely heated infinity pool, 24 hour fitness center, sauna, steam room, and a large decked area with hot tub. There are also in-room massages and beauty treatments available and the resort can provide baby-sitting services and transport to the theme parks at extra cost. That said, it is preferable to have the use of a car if staying there.
Although there isn’t a restaurant on site there are plenty of top quality restaurants just a couple of minutes away. Guests can also use the bars and restaurants of nearby sister resort Bahama Bay which will eventually be approached directly via boat across the lake that separates the two properties. If you really feel like relaxing you can always get the resort to organize in-room catering for you or just send for a take-out - there’s plenty of choice! The philosophy at Caribe Cove is not to have lots of bustle and entertainment going on as you’ll get enough of that during the day. It is meant to provide you with a calm, luxurious place to unwind and recharge ready for the next day of fun.
And luxury abounds at the Caribe Cove Resort. The furnishings and decor are stunning and the three bedroom condos are an amazing 1600 sq.ft. in size. They sleep up to eight people and feature fully equipped kitchens, two huge marble bathrooms with full baths separate showers and dual sinks, and they even have a laundry room. The master bedroom suites are as one recent guest put it ‘to die for’. They are made up of a bedroom with King-sized bed and sitting area, dressing room and ensuite bathroom. There are two other bedrooms one with a queen-sized bed and the other with twin beds and these are both ensuite to the second bathroom. For entertainment there are three flat screen televisions with cable and satellite viewing and a dvd player as well as internet access in each condo.
I could say the Caribe Cove Resort is a home from home, but the chances are you won’t want to go home once you’ve experienced it. So I suggest, if you’re planning a trip to Florida, you check it out as a matter of urgency because once the secret’s out it will be very difficult to get in. There are good deals to be had at the moment as it is still so new, particularly if you can book directly with of the owners, but they won’t last forever.
Whatever accommodation you decide on in the end, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the fun and excitement that Orlando offers. Have a great trip.
