How to Understand All the Sex Terms a Sexual Research Directory

There are many terms when it comes to sexual research that leave many people scratching their heads and wondering what an article is all about. There are many slang or regional terms that lead even native English speakers from different countries at odds.

The English have several terms for masturbation that doesn’t translate to America. A good example is “fanny”. In America it is a term used for a female’s derriere but in England it is used to describe women’s genitalia.

The terms that can be related to sex, the human anatomy and general sexual research are vast covering; A for abortion; through N for nipple; to W for womb. In my study of terms I came across over nearly 500 terms that I would say are used regularly in the lexicon of sexual research. There were terms such as “Arab strap” that were new to me and are used to describe straps that are fastened around the male member. Like other similar devices - Penile straps, Prince Albert rings, Gates of Hell - they are usually made of rubber or leather and help produce and maintain a man’s erection by trapping blood in the penis. Sometimes they are used therapeutically in cases of erection failure. Some people also find their appearance arousing and they may also provide physical stimulation for the wearer’s partner.

The whole sexual directory can be a little overwhelming and can lead to people becoming beleaguered when it comes to approaching sex. In this modern day we are all supposed to be more enlightened but it seems there are new sexual terms and practices being invented daily. People may feel out of touch and stupid. The fact is though because as people humans don’t talk as openly about sexuality as we should the real truth is many people are left baffled by certain sexual terms.

A better understanding of sexual reference terms can help people understand their own body better and that of a partner and really help in love making. There are few on directories on the internet and are well worth perusing to help explain sex. Although sexual terms maybe daunting they are not in actuality too difficult to pick up and understand once you spend some time looking into them a little. It is time as people we all talked more openly about sex and what we all want in the bedroom rather than just fantasizing and not acting out what we really want.
