What You Need for a Successful Sexual Massage

Sexual massage is more relaxing if you massage your partner the right way. This basically involves the following basic massage strokes:

Effleurage, which is to glide your palms across your lover’s body while putting your body weight behind the movement.

Kneading, which is to gently curve your hands and knead the flesh of your lover using smooth and regular movements.

Petrissage, which is to move the balls of your fingers or thumbs in circles alongside the spine to soothe away muscular tension.

Hacking, which is to keep your fingers relaxed and give a series of gentle ‘chops’ with the side of the hand.

If you’ve never done a massage before, it won’t hurt if you read about it more online or even buy a massage video first. But in general, if you know when to apply just the right pressure on certain areas and when to be soft on others, you’re good to go!

How to Set the Mood for a Sexual Massage Session

The atmosphere of the sexual massage session greatly contributes to the relaxation your lover will get and of course, to the ‘wildness’ of the sex afterwards! Here are some tips to help you set your sex massage setting.

Quiet please! You don’t need to clear the whole house but you do need a room that is peaceful and quiet. So this would likely be your bedroom.

If you have kids, banish them downstairs with a babysitter with strict instructions not to come up (even if they’re in their own rooms, you’ll still hear them!).Better yet, whisk them off to grandma and grandpa for the night so you guys have the whole house to yourselves.

Make sure there’s a nice soft pillow so you can cushion your woman’s head during the sexual massage.

Scent the room. What’s your woman’s favorite scent? Vanilla? Lavander? Choose a scent that she likes but be sure it’s something that induces relaxation. (You can always ask the saleslady at the shop for advice on this.)

You can also use incense, heated essential oils, scented crystals, or just plain flowers. (I like rose petals spread on the bed. Romantic!) The point is to make the room smell good and bring about a feeling of rest.

Prepare your oils, lotions and potions.
Make sure you have all your ‘props’ in hand. These would be your massage oils, massage lotions, and a small towel for wiping.

When my man gives me a sexual massage, he fills a big basin with very hot water. This is where he puts the small towel so that every time he wipes my body, it feels nicely warm. He also puts the bottle of massage oil in the basin so that the oil he uses is warm on my skin.

Candles, candles and candles! Don’t use your room lights during a sexual massage session. The room should be in semi-darkness. To achieve this, turn off all the lights (you can leave a bedside lamp on if it has a dimmer) and se the room aglow with romantic candles!

It doesn’t matter if they all don’t match. In fact, I personally like it when the room has a lot of mismatched candles. If you’re using a mild scent in the room, then you can match it with scented candles. (Great tip: use coffee-scented candles!)

Put on some soothing music. I have a collection of relaxation CDs and I encourage every couple on the planet to have their own collection too! (Really, it’s great to put one on just before sleeping to make you both relax.)

For the sexual massage session, choose music that’s particularly relaxing. This boils down a bit to personal favorites but personally, I stay clear of flutes and any high-pitch sounds as they grate on my nerves and stress me out. But that’s just me; do consider what your woman likes.

That’s it! With the above items, you’re more than ready to give your woman a highly-erotic sexual massage. Here’s my last tip for you: once you start the sexual massage, try to maintain skin or body contact at all times. Even if you’re getting more massage oil or wringing a wet towel, maintain contact by touching your knees to her legs or something to that effect. Enjoy!
