How The Heavenly Bodies Influence You: Ten Vital Bodies in Astrology

01 Jul.
Posted by taratara in Metaphysical | No Comments

From the first time that humans looked toward the sky and began to chart the movement of the sun, moon and the planets, men have been assigning meaning to what they saw.

It was not enough to simply record where the sun moved, when an eclipse happened or when a planet was brightest, complex and varying stories and myths were given to each celestial event to help explain things that were happening in the life of the observer.

If crops failed, it was blamed on the stars. If war broke out, it was blamed on the stars. Let us take a look at ten of the heavenly bodies that astrologers assigned meaning to and what each body meant.

1) The Sun

Not only was the sun the easiest body to see in the sky, it provided light, warmth and life. Most cultures saw the sun as a life giver, not vengeful or angry, but almost judgementless. A benign and powerful giver of life and wellness.

2) The Moon

The moon, to many early astrologists, represented the unconscious mind and stood for emotion and desire. It often had a negative connotation, simply because it was thought the moon help power over the weak to indulge in their inner most desires.

The old superstition of a full moon altering the behavior of people or even turning some into werewolves stems from the idea of the moon holding a mysterious power over your emotional side. The Moon is also associated with Monday, short for MoonDay.

2) Mercury

This planet is named after the Roman messenger god of the same name and thus the planet Mercury is thought to be the body that rules things like communication, rationality and logic, as well as transport. It is thought to bring out our curious nature, as well as being vivacious and inconsistent.

Mercury is thought to rule over Wednesday. In astrology practiced in China, Mercury is ruled over by the element of water. In India, Mercury stands for intelligence.

4) Venus

Venus is one of the brightest objects in the sky after the sun and the moon. It is named after the Roman god of love and the planet is thought to control love in astrology.

The planet is also thought to affect things like beauty, harmony and it plays an important role in people wanting or not wanting to get along. Throughout time and culture, Venus has represented peace, love and human potential. Venus is the planet for Friday and in Chinese astrology it is associated with metal.

5) Mars

Maybe no other planet is better known than Mars. Famously known as bringer of war, aggression and terror, it is is well known in most every culture. It is also associated with confidence and impulsiveness. Mars is usually associated with Tuesday and it is a fire element in Chinese astrology. Mars role as a bringer of war is apparent throughout human literature highlighted by H.G. Wells The War of the Worlds where invaders from Mars come to Earth to wipe out human civilization.

6) Jupiter

The biggest planet in the solar system is associated with happiness and joy. Jupiter rules over Thursday and is also associated with higher education, religion and growth. Many also believe Jupiter plays a role in protection, since it does protect the Earth from many wayward comets and asteroids by using its gravitational pull to absorb many hits that would otherwise strike the Earth.

7) Saturn

The final planet in the original seven planets that ruled astrology for years, Saturn is seen as cold and lifeless and is associated with ideas such as structure and sadness. In India, the planet is thought to bring bad luck. Saturn is tied in with the day Saturday and it is an Earth element in China.

8) Uranus

While some astrologers do not even acknowledge Uranus because it was not one of the original seven bodies, to the rest of the astronomers who have accepted it, Uranus stands for ideas and genius. It is also associated with controversial or extreme politics, as well as modern inventions. The association of Uranus with these things stems from the time of its discovery being so closely associated with the French Revolution and the American war for independence.

9) Neptune

The interpretations of Neptune are all over the place. It can stand for spirituality and religion, just like Uranus, but it is also associated with drug use and altered mental states. The discovery of Neptune happened around the same time that anesthetics were discovered, hence the association with altered mental states.

10) Pluto

While Pluto is not a planet anymore, it is still given astrological significance. It is associated with renewal and also associated with great and terrible power and corruption because of the time of its discovery coincided with the height of power of Stalin.

Astrology is filled with colorful and interesting stories about how heavenly bodies influence us. It may seem strange at first, but there might just be more of a link between these objects in the sky and human behavior than you might think.

Tarot Card Reading Instructions: Is Tarot Reading Accurate and Dependable?

01 Jul.
Posted by taratara in Metaphysical | No Comments

Millions of people seek tarot readings to help them in their daily lives. They ask about how to deal with their relationships and how to find success in their endeavours. Throughout history people have turned to divination methods and communication with spiritual energies to help them and because tarot reading has been used for centuries now, it is often a trusted modern tool as well.

There are several aspects of tarot card reading that make up its effectiveness. If all the conditions are met properly, the outcome of a tarot reading can be extremely good.

1) My deck or yours?

The first important component you will want to consider about this is who will read your tarot cards. Will you do your own reading or will you go to a tarot reader? Both of these methods can be effective.

If you are attempting your own tarot reading you will want to do some research before you get started, and there are a lot of things you will need to decide.

The first decision will be what kind of deck to use, so you will have to read up on it and determine if there is one that suits you best.

If you are drawn to a certain type of deck that may be the first indication that it is the one you should use.

After you decide which deck you are reading from, you will need to learn about the types of readings and how often you should consult the tarot. Especially if you are just learning all of this, you may consult the tarot too often and get confused by all the seemingly unconnected advice it gives.

When you see an experienced tarot reader you may get more from your reading. Seek someone with knowledge and a good reputation. I suggest that you ask friends and relatives to recommend a good tarot reader if you know they have sought this kind of advice in the past.

If you would prefer to keep this to yourself, I suggest you visit the readers you are interested in and ask them a few questions about readings in order to get a good idea if they are someone you feel can help you.

2) The Question

Okay, so now you have found the reader (or gotten yourself in a position to read your own). The next step is forming a question to be asked. You should put a lot of consideration into this matter. You will want to ask something that will give you insight.

Do not ask questions that the tarot cannot answer such as ‘who will I marry’ or ‘how long will I live.

The tarot is not meant for such questions. It is meant to provide guidance about relationships and endeavours, so ask how best to accomplish what you want rather than IF you will accomplish it.

3) The Mood

The next component of a successful reading is your mind set. On the day of your reading, do some meditation or relaxation exercises to clear your head and put you into a calm state. You should not be agitated and out of sorts when you have your reading done.

When you handling the cards (shuffling or selecting the ones for the reading) you should calm yourself by closing your eyes and taking a couple of deep cleansing breaths. I suggest that you then pick up the deck and hold it and even shuffle the cards while being mindful of your question.

This is the time that you make the connection with the cards, so try to be as serene and centered as you can. I feel it is extremely important to have time with the cards in order for your energy to connect with the spirituality they hold. If you rush this step, your reading could be drastically affected.

4) The Attitude

Have an open spirit as you determine the messages in the cards and how they relate to your own life. You may need to think about some of it for a few days before you can really get it.

The tarot is indeed a powerful tool for you to use for guidance. You must always remember however that its effectiveness is determined by several components.

For the most successful and trustworthy readings you will need to do everything you can to make sure that the cards, the reader, your spirit and the atmosphere are at their best for your reading. As with anything else, if you use quality ingredients you will get a quality end product!

Tarot Card Meanings: How To Interpret A Single Card In Tarot Reading

01 Jul.
Posted by taratara in Metaphysical | No Comments

In the deck of tarot cards, each one of the seventy eight cards carries its own meaning. The twenty two cards in the major arcana have the most significant meanings when considered individually. This is because the major arcana cards indicate strong people and issues in a tarot reading. The minor arcana help determine some detail about those strong people and issues.

1) One at a time

Each tarot card is considered individually first and then it is noted how it relates to the other cards in a reading and how it relates to the position it takes in the card spread.

I want to use The Emperor card as an illustration about the interpretation of individual cards. The Emperor can be represented in a tarot deck in several ways depending on the style of the cards.

On some cards The Emperor is shown as a ram and on some he is depicted as an eagle or as a throne. This card means leadership, power or strength. It can also mean tyranny or impatience because each card can have a more positive meaning and a more negative meaning based on its placement and other contributing factors.

Simply looking at this card in its singular state could tell you many things and you must always remember that you need to make a connection between this card you have selected and the question you have asked.

Perhaps you have The Emperor in your selection of cards and based on your situation and your question, it makes more sense for The Emperor to take on the negative state to mean a lack of rule or a lack of respect for authority. You must use a creative approach when deciphering such cards.

2) Location, location, location

Each placement in a tarot card spread has meaning. If I continue with the example of The Emperor as I used above, The meaning of the Emperor tarot card now shifts or is refined in meaning to correspond with its position.

There are many different spreads, so I will not get into each one. If The Emperor card is placed on the spread in a spot which signifies motivation for example, you can further read that the power and leadership meaning of this card may be what motivates the individual who has selected these cards.

If this very same card were to be placed in a spot which signified service it would have an entirely different meaning. While The Emperor still represents power and leadership, it could now be understood that this individual is in a leadership position and that serving people is what puts them there.

So you see that placement is important in the interpretation of every single card. You could compare it to colours. If you tell someone that you bought a red jacket they will get a mental picture in their head of what a red jacket means.

When they see you in that jacket however, they discover that it is really more of a muted wine colour and that it is much more subtle and understated than they imagined when they heard the term red jacket. Placement of each tarot card actually helps define the strength and attitude of that card.

3) Relationships

Another thing that affects each card in a placement is the other cards. For example, the Two of Cups is in the reading along with The Emperor. This card must be studied on its own just as The Emperor was and then, after that it must be redefined based on its placement and the other cards accompanying it.

Firstly, the Two of Cups represents a relationship and usually will mean love. Let us imagine that the Two of Cups has been placed on a spot which indicates motivation. We will then have to consider that this person who is in a powerful leadership role and is dedicated to the service of people is motivated by love.

This tends to indicate a person who is very interested in the service of others for the sake of love. Sure, this person may be powerful but that power seems to be focused in a way that benefits many people.

4) No-one is an Island

As you can see, the individual meaning of each tarot card is important and each card should be considered on its own.

The entire reading will be unbalanced however if the positions of each card and how they may relate to the other cards in their respective positions must all be taken into consideration. Seeing the whole picture is worth much more than any single card.

How to Leave Old Vibrations in the Past and Launch Positive Intentions for Your Positive Future

30 Jun.
Posted by AnisaAven in Metaphysical | No Comments

I love a new month - there’s just something magical about realigning with my intentions and goals. However, there’s always that particular ‘resolution’ that shows up time after time and what do you know - here it is again; the same resolution that I’ve had for 10 years running is still there, not entirely ignored but not entirely fulfilled either!

Last year I said I was going to spend more time with my children; well, I guess I wasn’t specific enough because although I spent time with them, was it really more time? Was that time really better than or more attentive than the year before?

Last year I said I was going to pay better attention to my honey’s needs, be sweeter and more flexible during disagreements and make magical moments a part of our every day existence. Hmm, did I really achieve this? Well, not entirely. And, I better not send him a feedback survey as I won’t be able to maintain my ’sweetness’ intention when I disagree!

There are others as well, I didn’t accomplish my mental, spiritual or physical goals consistently and oh, here’s that one about organization: “I am organized, productive, efficient, and reliable! I return calls promptly and willingly and my email inbox is organized and easy!” Yikes! I clearly do not understand what I wrote here - my office is more like a ‘bull in a china-shop’ and ‘my calls and inbox are back-logged’ now more than ever!

Okay, looking at my unmet resolutions as well as my victories, I can see that although I did not accomplish them ALL, I did have a great number of victories and have more to be grateful and excited about than the opposite. Allow me to remind myself, by reminding YOU:

We are conscious creators! If we don’t like the weather, then we get to re-create it! However, if we don’t like ourselves, then we cannot expect to change anything consistently. We must first address the primary source of our foul climate before we can move on to creating paradise.

The source of our ‘foul climates’ will always be our internal negative thoughts and limiting beliefs. Now, having said this have you ever wondered why sometimes you’re feeling really positive about life and you still get ‘bummer’ creations?

I call this my petulant Blue Shoes Vibration. I have a feeling that you have your own Petulant Vibration about something, so see if this doesn’t fit somewhere in your life.

I have a regrettable and at this point, entirely embarrassing confession to make about my navy-blue shoes problem. You see, I am unable to attract navy-blue shoes that are comfortable! I ‘know’ I’m supposed to be teaching folks how to manifest and here I am unable to manifest something as simple as navy shoes that are also comfortable!!!

Here’s the scope of my problem. In the last 2 years, I have gone through more navy blue heels than I care to admit. I feel as though I’ve walked a groove into the DSW aisles; I’ve searched through Nordstrom’s and then Payless and every shoe store in between. I have even manifested two pair of free navy shoes (random gifts from friends, who knew nothing about my personal navy-shoe-drought) but they have all turned out to be nothing more than a one-night-stand!

In fact, last month, I wore my newest pair of beautiful navy-blue shoes at an all day seminar. When I bought them I was so very hopeful. That evening, when I reached out to push the up button on the elevator, I simultaneously slam dunked those navy pumps into the trash can!

How did I get to this terrible state of possibly never being able to wear any of my navy suits again? I repeatedly and consistently demonized those navy-blue shoes. Every chance I got I’d rant about how I can ‘never find any navy blue shoes that fit!’ Now, being the powerful creator that I am… it’s true. And, until I change my focus from ‘what is’ to ‘what I want instead’, it’s very unlikely that this dilemma of mine will ever go away!

Now, how does this relate to making this year the best year of your life? Let me explain:

We all have our petulant vibrations! Any source of disconnection that we experience emotionally will manifest physically unless we are more aligned more of the time. This of course is where meditation, yoga, prayer, EFT, essential oils or any of the other ‘tools’ you use for realigning yourself are useful.

However, I also find it extremely supportive to look back on the year and ask myself where might I have a ‘petulant navy-blue shoe’ dilemma in the other areas of my life? And, I suggest you pay particular notice of any area of your life where you are particularly self-critical.

I’ve heard Abraham (with Jerry and Esther Hicks) say, “Your vibration is always where you last left it.” This is as true for me and my navy-blue shoe problem as it is for any other unfulfilled dream or goal that I might have. Thus, your vibration (for the good, the bad, and the ugly) from last year will project itself into this year unless you intentionally re-set your intentions and vibrations to higher levels of ease, effortlessness, love, peace, and harmony.

If you want this year to be your best year ever, then take some time to uncover any petulant vibrations (thoughts, limitations, patterns of negative experiences or behaviors) and get rid of them!

Use your affirmations or a vision board or your favorite creative visualization or emotional freedom technique, but do yourself a favor and use this month as the time to kick off any old shoes that no longer fit! And, take on an entirely new intention of creating the best year of your life.

Law of Attraction Student Types - Which One of the Three Are You?

30 Jun.
Posted by AnisaAven in Metaphysical | No Comments

Most students of the Law of Attraction will go through many rotations and even more alterations of their methodologies and inner-climate before realizing how to dependably apply the power of their minds.

Initially, when we hear about conscious creation, we experience both an apprehensive hopefulness and a sincere eagerness to hear more;

we feel this overwhelming sense that we just KNEW this was true all along. This ‘can it really be true?’ information confirms something we’ve known all of our lives and yet weren’t able to articulate. When we did, share our dreams or our inner knowing that all things are possible, we were shot down, told to be realistic, that we were just pipe-dreaming, or worse that we were stupid and would never see those dreams fulfilled.

These contradictory messages coming from both fearful bystanders and well-meaning friends and family alike set up a systemic response to doubt our unlimited nature. Unfortunately, this response lives on within most of us.long after their words have been filed away in the bottomless darkness of our mental lockbox.

When we find ourselves ‘practicing the law of attraction’ and simultaneously judging ourselves as ‘not getting it right because it’s taking too long’, then we have just diagnosed a more significant crisis.

The critic within us literally becomes the enemy of our positive intentions.

The act of judging our ‘goal’ as taking too long literally sets up a vibration to push away the very thing we want. This goes for any self-criticism. For the purposes of this article, let’s look at criticism in relationship to our thoughts about the law of attraction. Do you ever think any of these (or something similar) thoughts?

- This law of attraction stuff doesn’t work.
- How long do I have to wait?
- Maybe I’m not doing it right or I’m just not good enough?
- Maybe I’m not supposed to have my dreams fulfilled.
- I can’t wait to have what I want, my life just stinks right now.
- This is taking too long.
- This isn’t what I wanted! This isn’t at all what I was trying to create!
- I’m doing everything I’ve been told to do to manifest what I want - why isn’t it working?

If you experience any of the above, then in those moments you are vibrationally out-of-alignment with the object of your desires.

However, most new conscious creation students will do the following (which doesn’t work):

First, they create powerful images, visions, affirmations and thoughts about what they want. They may even go so far as to create a treasure map or a rain dance! They feel a great sense of hopefulness and they start looking around for their manifestation.

Then, instead of appreciating the time they have to prepare for their bounty and acknowledging the Divine Order and Divine Timing, they judge the time as ‘too long’.

And, instead of appreciating the signs-of-land and doorways of opportunity that land in their path (and they always will), they judge these as ‘not good enough’, ‘not what I wanted’, and/or not a part of their Divine Path in some way.

What must happen is the eradication of all the self-doubt. And, there’s really no other kind of doubt.

We may think that we doubt the ‘law of attraction’ but we’re really only doubting our personally ability to manifest and utilize the universal laws.

When we judge what’s happening as ‘not good enough’, what we are really saying is “I’m not good enough to get what I want”.

Now, here comes the tricky part: I’m not saying DON’T self-reflect - this is critical and important. You MUST listen to what’s going on in your mind and heart in order to become a master conscious creator!

There are three ways students of the law of attraction deal with their limiting thoughts.

The first is what many ‘quick-fix’ students will do. They realize that their skeptical friends were right all along and this whole ‘Secret’ thing is just a big new-age cult! They feel somewhat ashamed for being so ‘naive’ and dismiss it all together. They go back to the way they’ve always been (what’s comfortable), and in seeking retribution for getting their hopes up - they begin to oppose us ‘woo-woo peddlers’ as snake-oil salesmen that need to be exposed and maybe in a fair and just world, tortured!

The next, is what part-time students do most often. They realize that their negative thoughts are preventing them from getting what they want. They deduce that if they just ignore those thoughts, then it would only make sense that their desires would manifest. After all, if we ignore them, they must be gone, right?!?

The good news is - they will find that little manifestations like parking spaces, butterflies, the appearance of their favorite number, and other signs and desires will manifest. These are the intentions that they’ve set forth and detached from. There’s a great deal of excitement when these things come about because we realize we must be doing something right. Unfortunately, for most of these students, the really big dreams - the relationship, the fulfilling career, the total health, and the financial prosperity, will continue to either elude them altogether, or drop-by-drop, in ultra slow motion manifest but seldom as we expected.

The third law of attraction student: These are usually those who have come from a deeper connection to the Universal Spiritual Truths.

Often, these students come from other disciplines such as Unity, Religious Science, Transcendental Meditation, A Course in Miracles, etc. and know that the power of our minds and our ability to direct our external experiences will always be dependent upon our internal
climate.

Our external reality is always a reflection of our inner reality. Thus, by expanding and embracing the Presence of God within, we make sacred our internal climate. This sacred space is vibrationally aligned with every dream we envision.

These students realize and seek first the Kingdom of Heaven within. They act intentionally to direct their overall sense of courage, confidence, openness, willingness, faith, acceptance, love, reason, gratitude and bliss. They seek these feelings and mental states first.

By seeking first the consciousness equivalent of that which you desire, you become at peace with the Divine Order and Divine Timing.

Thus, not only will you no longer worry about ‘when is it going to show up’ but you’ll also find that you’ll say over and over again, “WOW! Things sure are manifesting fast these days!”

In fact, that’s the first order of business. Start saying, “Wow!! Everything I desire is really manifesting fast these days!”

Happy Manifesting!

Meditation: The Scientific Method of Self-Study

20 Jun.
Posted by lemortedeben in Metaphysical | No Comments

Metaphysics, Meditation, and spiritual matters in general tend to be plagued by sloppy thinking. While we do want to be open to new possibilities (this is at the core of properly applied science), we want to have a structured approach to our practice, whatever it may be.

What follows is the modified scientific method for the study of the self.
1. Recognizing a Problem
2. Perform some research/Form a hypothesis
3. Design exercises, or play with exercises you found
4. Pay close attention to the subjective results you get (use a journal)
5. Form working conclusions and continue experimentation

Step 1 does not really require a problem, just something you would like to change or improve. Mindfulness is your best friend here. If you want to work on the self or explore the self, it helps to have an awareness of the components of self first. If you have never taken the time to pay close attention to your 5 primary senses or your thinking senses of internal pictures or internal sounds, now is the time to start.

Step 2 suggests that you research the area a bit before formulating your own hypothesis. You don’t have to make your hypothesis based on this research, but it helps to know what other people who have worked the field have come up with thus far.

Step 3 encourages us to really get to work. This is where we allot time for meditation or other exercises and follow through. This is where we actually run the experiment, and the experimentation never truly ends. It might change direction, but it will continue.

Step 4 reminds us to track our results. Write down detailed descriptions of your subjective experience as you go. This gives points of reference for the changes you have experienced. When looking through the eyes of the new you, it might not be easy to see how much different you are now from the way you used to be.

Step 5 allows us to put working principles in place to help us continue with further experimentation. Keep in mind, these are just working theories; they are subject to change and improvement.

To illustrate, allow me to share an example from my own life. Several years back, when I was still in the Army, I started meditating every day before I went to work. As I continued practicing, the meditations grew deeper, and it made the early part of the day more pleasant at work. I noticed, however, that I wasn’t really developing the ability to deal with my day-to-day challenges in a ‘meditative’ way (step 1). It was like a peak experience that would wear off. I read through some of the meditation books I had at the time, but did not find anything that really applied to what I was experiencing (step 2). I figured if I could find a way to practice in the morning or throughout the day, I could experience more freedom when challenges come up. So I started playing with quick methods of meditating, and short meditative exercises (step 3). I wasn’t very good at keeping a journal at the time, but I did measure my satisfaction with the day, as well as individual experiences with and without applying the techniques (step 4). Based off this, I continued to test and practice these methods to this day. A vastly simplified version of my results would be “When I’m in a good space, I get better results. When I’m in a bad space, I get worse results.”

This is only one example, but you can apply this method virtually anywhere in your life. When you do, you will get powerful, measurable results!

Secrets of the Reiki Symbols and Reiki Healing You Can Do For Yourself

19 Jun.
Posted by taratara in Metaphysical | No Comments

Reiki symbols are passed from Reiki Master to Reiki Master and are most commonly used for healing and protection. Of Japanese origin, the secrecy of the Reiki symbols is actually a Western tradition. It is not uncommon in Japan to see Reiki symbols displayed very openly, even in public places.

There are several schools of thought when it comes to Reiki. One is that you must be trained in the correct way to use a Reiki symbol before you will be able to activate the benefits.

There is only one way that the symbol will work according to these schools of thought, and you must draw or use the symbol correctly each time in order to activate it.

Other ways of thinking state that you can draw the symbol, trace it with your hand, or even just say the name of the symbol out loud or in your head once you are trained.

One area in which the various ways of thinking agree, though, is that you must have a Reiki Attunement before you can use the symbols.

This gets your body used to the Reiki energy and prepares you to use the Life Force Energy. Depending on the symbols that the Reiki Master uses on you, the effect may be permanent or temporary.

The question that most have, though, is, that if Reiki is something that can only be taught and enabled by a Master, then how did it get started?

With study and dedication, it may just be possible for you to learn to attune yourself without the help of a Reiki Master.

However, if you choose to, you may be able to pay for an attunement anyway. In fact there are even places to learn to do your own Reiki attunement online so that you have no need of classes.

Some of the most common Reiki symbols are the following:

a) Cho Ku Ray - Power

This symbol increases the Reiki power that you are using, brining energy from the rest of the world around you to focus it exactly where you want it.

b) Sei Hei Ki - Mental or Emotional

This symbol indicates the divine within us, making humanity and God into one. It is used to create an emotional release after a build up in the recipient of the energy, and can be used to focus to heal and calm the mind.

c) Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen - Distance

This symbol indicates that the God in the sender greets the God in the recipient. It is used to promote peace and enlightenment, and is used to send Reiki healing energy across a distance to perform distance healing.

There are twelve basic hand positions for self-treatment with Reiki. The first is with both hands over your face and eyes, with your nose and mouth exposed. Your palms should be cupping your eyes, no pressure needed. The second is with both hands on your head just behind or above your ears. Your fingertips should meet at the crown of your head.

The third is with both hands resting behind your head. One should rest just above the nape of your neck, and the other should be just above it. The fourth is with your chin resting in the palms of your hands. Your fingers should stretch along your jaw line.

The fifth is with one hand around your throat gently, with your thumb to one side and your fingers to the other. Your other hand should rest on your chest just below your collarbone. The sixth is with your hands resting on your upper rib cage. For women, this means that your hands are placed just below the breasts.

The seventh is with your fingertips touching above your solar plexus, your hands to each side. The eighth is with one hand along each side of your pelvic bone. Your fingers should be touching.

The ninth is with your hands on the backs of your shoulders or on your shoulder blades. You should be reaching up and over your shoulders to get in this position. The tenth is with your hands meeting at the fingertips in the center of your back.

The eleventh is with your fingertips meeting at your low back. The twelfth is with your hands resting in the sacral region, meeting about at your tailbone.

When you lay your hands on one of these healing energy points, you are meant to draw energy though the channels of your body rather than trying to push your energy out through your hands or otherwise draw from some parts of your body to the others. Instead, look to draw the energy through the channels in your body from the world around you.
